More New Tricks

Daisy is learning tons of new stuff everyday! It's so much fun :)
She recently learned to "jump." Mostly just bending her legs really fast and bouncing up and down, but it's really funny! Today she learned to spin around in circles. She's been spinning around and around saying "silly! silly!" over and over. Then she gets dizzy and falls over and laughs and laughs! Her climbing skills have reached an all time high as well. She managed to climb out of the crib at her babysitters. Theirs is a little smaller than hers, so she hasn't figured out how to get out of hers yet, but it's probably coming soon!
She's also shaking her head for no today. I'm glad she's not saying that one yet! Her new words today are "read it!" She loves to listen to books. She brings me one, says "read it!" then turns around and walks backwards until she's sitting on my lap. She even usually sits for the whole story! Her current favorite books are the "pretty" ones, two fairy books we have. This is also the only time she seems to have noticed my expanding baby belly. She gets irritated when she tries to sit on my lap right in the middle and doesn't have room! She'll sit to one side, but always tries to shove my belly out of the way first :)

Isn't this age so much fun? It's too bad we don't live in the same area, because Anya and Daisy would probably get along very well! They're doing a lot of similar things, except for the climbing - I am so impressed at how fantastic Daisy's motor skills are, especially given that she's tiny!

It's too funny that Daisy tries to shove your belly out of the way when she wants to sit on your lap! Anya does the same backing up thing to get into my lap when she wants me to read to her (Don't you think they should beep like a truck when they do that?), but there's no baby belly for her to contend with here :)

Braiden does the same thing, backs into my lap when he wants to read, sticking out his tushy at the same time! So cute! I love this age. :)
